The key players of the region, such as Optotech, Schneider, Harmonic Drive, Bühler Alzenau and Pfeiffer Vacuum, have announced their presence at the upcoming event. But also big names beyond the optics region, including Universal Photonics / USA, Meopta and the ELI Beamlines laser project – both from the Czech Republic – will be present. Companies from the second major optics region around Jena will be presenting their products, too. Also invited to the Wetzlar trade fair are experts from the user sectors of medtech, life science, automotive, aerospace, consumer electronics and defense.

Numerous forums will be available to set new ideas and partnerships in motion, including a meet & match with foreign companies and social events. The supporting program with more than 40 planned free presentations offers access to current knowledge and cross-industry contacts. The Innovation Areas planned for next year are “3D Print/ Additive Manufacturing”, the IVAM Area “Microtechnologies for Optical Devices” and “Robotics”. The regional Lahn-Dill chamber of commerce will hold an accompanying seminar on robotics technology. Traditionally on the second day of the fair, the Student Day will be held. In addition to career planning for students, it offers companies the best recruiting opportunities among the sought-after young professionals. The Campus Area presents the latest findings in university research and development.

The W3+ Fair 2020 will receive professional support from Goldpartner duo Wetzlar Network and EPIC as well as around twenty other competence partners. At the last W3+ Fair 2019 in Wetzlar, around two hundred companies and partners as well as more than 2700 trade visitors were on site. The event uses the know-how density at the Wetzlar / Middle Hesse optics region to network experts across industries. (Source: Fleet Events)
