During the European Photonics Industry Consortium’s annual general assembly in Glasgow, EPIC director general Carlos Lee and Wiley’s editor-in-chief for the B2B physics and photonics magazines and portals, Oliver Dreissigacker, signed an update of the memorandum of understanding, defining the media partnership that began in 2013.

Under that agreement, EPIC member companies had free access to all issues of Optik+Photonik, and additionally Laser Technik Journal. As these titles merged to become PhotonicsViews Magazine earlier this year, the updated MoU reflects the new situation since the publication of the first issue of PhotonicsViews, February/March 2019.

Given the broader scope of the new magazine, EPIC member companies may now receive not only regular copies for their executive office, but also for their main technical departments free of charge.

In return, the technical staff of EPIC provides not only the regular tech report and some market reports each year, but also in-depth insights on key players and new  developments, acquired during EPIC’s numerous company visits in a new portrait series, beginning with the June/July issue of PhotonicsViews.

As Optik+Photonik did, PhotonicsViews regularly features the EPIC Calendar of events and reports on the outcome of EPIC workshops, tech watches, conferences, and delegation visits. (Source: Wiley)
