nLight announced the shipment of the 1,000th unit of the nLight alta industrial fiber laser from its manufacturing facility in Vancouver, WA. The alta fiber laser platform is designed and manufactured in the US, using nLight’s vertically integrated high brightness laser diode and fiber technologies.

“Last year we cut the ribbon on our new fiber laser manufacturing factory in Vancouver, WA and today we are proud to announce the shipment of the 1,000th laser,” said Scott Keeney, President and CEO of nLight.

Due to nLights back reflection isolation technology, the fiber lasers can be used for uninterrupted full power processing of highly reflective materials. They are available at two power levels: Medium-power fiber lasers are available from 500 to 1200 W and are used for cutting, welding and drilling, and high-power fiber lasers are available at 2, 3 and 4 kW and are used for cutting, welding, hardening / cladding and additive manufacturing.
