MKS Instruments, Inc., sharpens the industrial focus of its Ophir brand by creating the new role of Director Global Business Development. Christian Dini, up to now CEO at Ophir Spiricon Europe, an MKS subsidiary alongside Newport Spectra-Physics, takes over this worldwide management position with immediate effect. In his new position, he will lead an international business development and PR team.

Dini has more than 25 years of experience in the laser industry and held several positions in R&D, sales and management. Before joining Ophir, he was Business Development Director at Synrad, led the sales & marketing department as Vice President at Alphaform AG, accompanied the buildup of the European Synrad subsidiary and worked as product manager at Optilas GmbH. In 2013, he took over the Executive Management of Ophir Spiricon Europe GmbH.

“Ophir represents innovative technology in laser measurement. Especially companies in the automotive industry and additive manufacturing benefit significantly from improved quality and efficiency”, states Dini and adds: “Additionally, we have succeeded in developing a new product that enables the easy and fast measurement of LED luminaires. Together with my international team, I would like to leverage those innovations and introduce them to the market.” (Source: MKS)
